What could be more local, seasonal produce than home grown food?

If you have space, even a windowsill, growing your own gives you the freshest, most local food possible.

It’s rewarding. You can grow herbs, tomatoes and salad leaves in pots in small spaces.

Herbs are often transported by air freight to arrive in our stores. Simply growing a pot of basil, rosemary, oregano or any of your favourite herbs can save a significant amount of unnecessary packaging, storage and transport emissions. As air freight has over 100 times the impact of sea freight, those emissions from small packets of herbs can quickly mount up.
